Our story
Talk about our brand
After completing Design Management at the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom in the fall of 2023, Ming wanted to start a new venture in the timepiece industry. He registered ONE BALANCE trademark in the Intellectual Property Office in London.
Due to the UK’s climatic characteristics, Ming found that reading timepieces in low-light environments can be challenging, especially in places where the weather is frequently rainy and cloudy as well as the nights are long, and the days are short. Even, the lands where the sun doesn’t rise, such as Polar Night (1-3 months per year). For hundreds of years, clockmakers or watchmakers have been dedicated to solving low-light visibility to border their product’s capability in dark scenarios, such as the Rolex Submariner (the supreme divers watch), Panerai’s Luminor Marina, IWC’s CERALUME (The First Fully Luminous Ceramic Watch combines Ceralume with high-grade Super-LumiNova pigments), BALL Tritium Gas Tubes, etc. However, these luminescent solutions have physically limited performance.
In January 2024, returning to Hong Kong, Ming invited his former entrepreneur partner Ping to join into One Balance Team as chief technology officer to be in charge of R&D to develop The Hubble Traveller Smart Optical Chronometer. The world’s ONLY optical chronometer with No Hands, No Dial and No Screen that can be legible accurately and has exceptional capability in low-light visibility. Inspired by the Hubble Space Telescope which is referred to as a time machine, collecting glowing light from the vast galaxy.
Consequently, a new entrepreneurial adventure begins.
